| Many people are surprised to hear that Phil Dill Boats was not always a retail marine dealership. The firm actually started as a sheet metal fabricator & manufacturer serving the drive-in theatre concession industry in the early 50's. His business was known as the General Manufacturing Company. In 1954 Phil Dill was commissioned to develop a line of aluminum boats called the Cruiser Craft. This line consisted of 11 models, one of which was called the Sunbeam Family Cabin Cruiser.
