Wayne Abshere who began the business was raised in Anadarko. He started in the restaurant business in Arvin, California, where in 1947 after serving in World War II, he turned a 7-foot by 14-foot trailer into a hamburger stand. Ana was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later moved to Oklahoma. She graduated cum laude from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, and attended law school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
