This story starts in the Summer of 1989, when The May Antique Mall was set up. Just a several months later, Bill and Denny McConnell, antique lovers and long-time collectors, had the opportunity and nice fortune to become the managers of the mall. On just a hand-shake and an oral agreement with the owner, they agreed that after two years, if successful in building the business, they could buy the business and lease the building. They were, indeed, so successful, that when their long-term lease ran out, they spotted the best building to purchase, renovate.
