Chiropractors focus primarily on restoring joint biomechanics to it's most efficient form. This reduces most musculoskeletal problems. To accomplish this we utilize physical therapy, deep tissue massage, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation to break up scar tissue adhesions and muscle spasms then therapeutic stretching and exercise rehabilitation to supply joint stabilization and proper biomechanics. With trauma or repetitive activites (microtraumas) adhesions evolve in muscles, ligaments, tendons and joint complexes that cause joint dysfunction and/or nerve irritation.
