Acupuncture is defined as ".the insertion of slender needles through the skin at specific locations on the body to elicit a therapeutic response." Acupuncture is used to balance the body's energy to regain optimal health. Our energy, or Qi, is considered our vital life force, and flows through channels in our bodies called meridians. Imbalance will inhibit the flow of Qi in our bodies and eventually lead to disease.
