Bill Papenhausen was born and raised in San Diego where he attended elementary school, high school and college. After four years in the military, where he served as a communications specialist with the U. S. Air Force Security Service (an electronic surveillance command) he joined the San Diego Police Department. As a police officer, Bill's initiative, thoroughness and investigative techniques led to the arrests of misdemeanor and felony suspects. His investigative abilities gained him numerous Commanding Officers' Citations and the Supervisor's Commendation from the force.
