This past year, the Library has reached out to more and more patrons in our district. Our collection at the Mapleton Recreation Center has been a huge hit with home daycare providers as well as other readers, and continues to be updated with new titles. The Cedars of Lebanon discussion group is as lively as ever and open to any Cedars resident. We've had guest speakers at the Bellevue Senior Center and we visit the Glasford Senior Center once a month as a library on wheels.

A tale of faith, redemption, and timeless love. Aimee Shinall from the Peoria County Sheriff's Office instructs you on scam safety and keeping scams shut down in this Zoom event. Each month, we'll post a no-stress themed crafting video to our Facebook and YouTube pages for any skill level. January's project is a framed calendar! Show off your skills by sharing an image of your craft on the Facebook Event page and be entered into a raffle for a prize.

Residents of the District are proud of their library-both its physical plant and its services. Library staff strives to offer a balanced collection of books, magazines, computers with Internet access, large print materials, reference volumes, newspapers, music CDs, DVD/Blu-Rays, Audiobooks, Electronic books, and other electronic sources.

read moreWe have 6 computers currently available for public use. All computers have access to the Internet as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. For those 18 and older, we offer 10 laptops for library use only, and we now have a variety of tablets (iPad, Kindle Fire, NookHD, Surface Tablet, and Galaxy Tab Pro) to be checked out by Alpha Park Library card holders. Teens also have access to in-house laptops in the Children's Department. Please stop by the Reference Desk for more information.
