The American College of Spine Surgery was organized in 1999 in order to promote suitable and appropriate education and training in the area of spine surgery, to sponsor suitable and appropriate educational programs in the area of spine surgery and to accredit appropriate training programs in the area of spine surgery. The American College of Spine Surgery is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

read moreThe American College of Spine Surgery (ACSS) was organized in 1999 with Charles D. Ray serving as the founding president. The College has been duly constituted under law with officers, directors and committees as defined in its bylaws. The College is not-for-profit as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code. The review course is held in the summer of each year and includes didactic lectures as well as sessions dedicated to the innovative advancements in the specialty of spine surgery.
