We believe that good dogs are products of good relationships, and we strive to help our humans understand that their connection with their pup is the most valuable asset they have when teaching obedience.

read moreMy Grandmother has always had a variety of pets. She taught me to value animals as close friends and not just possessions. I remember her Irish Setter very well. Her name was Shane and she had only three legs. She lost one to cancer before I knew her. Shane was a great inspiration because she never complained and was always happy to see me. She taught me that you did not have to be perfect to be happy. I grew and met many other dogs and learned something from each one. The German Shepherd, Margo taught me about courage.

read moreWe do things a little differently here at Animal Training and Development. Sure, your dog will learn "sit, " "stay" and "come." Sure, your dog will walk nicely on a leash and lay down when asked to do so. For us, it's about more than that, though. Teaching the commands is the easy part, facilitating the growth of a relationship - that's the fun part. Our training style is dedicated to the growth of the relationship, meaning that the primary focus of our group classes isn't teaching Rover to learn key words and obey them.

You'll work closely with Mike learning the ins and outs of dog behavior, group work, and problem solving. You'll gain knowledge, and get your hands on as many dogs as you can.
