Recent legislative changes have eliminated the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) of which AHELA was a participant. All new federal student loans will be offered by the Department of Education through the Direct Loan Program. Although AHELA will no longer be capable to supply federal student loans, we'll continue to supply superb client service to schools, students, and parents who have student loans with us and continue to service these loans.
