Twice a year we participate in huge adoption events at the Irvine Animal Care Center: Home for The Holidays in December and Super Pet in June. We get a big boost in adoptions from these events, and we couldn't do it without the Disney Voluntears who help us out. Here's some of the team from the event on December 10th, 2017. Every February we provide the dogs for the Rescue Roundup grooming competition at Groom Expo West in Pasadena.

Any that you can donate to us would be much appreciated! Some man and/or womanpower, too! We're still working on our Dogs Help Heal sanctuary. We are especially looking for Pedigree dry food now. Soft food in the high end brands is also greatly appreciated (like Evangers, Merrick, Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild). Some of our older dogs have delicate tummies.

We had a blast on Big Sunday weekend with 75 folks participating over the course of the weekend! B&B continues to celebrate the spirit of giving with volunteer projects all through June ending with a bar-b-q on July 4. Little 10 year old Odie, a miniature poodle mix, came into our rescue on May 21, 2019, frightened and matted. Three days later, a wonderful groomer named Jessica Meyer came in with a friend to look at dogs. She liked our rescue so much that she offered to become a volunteer. Odie was her first project, and his makeover was amazing. His before and after pictures were submitted to the annual Wahl's Dirty Dog Contest, which judges grooming efforts from rescues across the nation.

Together, we'll figure out the best way for you to participate in the joy that is Beagles & Buddies. Beagles & Buddies is proud to have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 12,000 dogs in loving homes since it's inception in 1993. As a volunteer you can do many things to help us continue rescuing dogs. We get phone calls from shelters all over Southern California that have dogs needing rescue & many times we don't have anyone to go pick those dogs up.

Pet owners who do have to place their pets (either with a person or organization) as a last resort may want to consider having a microchip and/or tattoo registered in their name as either a primary or alternate contact just in case the adopter turns out to be irresponsible or unable to keep the pet confined.
