Our produce departments are all organic! We no longer carry any commercial items. The Organic Industry has changed and grown to the point where there is enough provide and range of produce items that we can carry only organic. Our dedication to organic has always been strong but we felt that we needed to balance it with our clients requirements for items that were not available organically. We now feel that we're able to do both by carrying only organic.

The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and building sources of non-GMO products, and educating consumers.

In 1988 we opened The El Cerrito Natural Grocery, and in 2014,T he Natural Grocery Prepared Food Annex. From non-toxic cleaning products to LED light bulbs and conscientious waste reduction, we strive to have the lowest possible impact on the environment. Our goal is to live lightly on this planet while bringing nutritious foods to our community. We take many steps to be green.

Our Dairy & Frozen Department includes traditional items, from local and organic producers, as well as pastured eggs, raw milk, and non-dairy alternatives such as organic soy and nut milks, cheeses, and ice creams.
