In the eighties he started training and apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical and home building, gaining a diploma in Building Code Application. His father, an Electrical Engineer, introduced Bruce to the electrical and electronics world as a child. He hand built his 1st project, a crystal AM radio, at the age of eight. He built his own ham radio equipment at the age of thirteen. Computers were a natural interest for Bruce, who has built his own computers since the eighties.
