Wash your hands 1st with a liquid anti-bacterial soap before cleaning your new piercing! Rinse with a sea salt solution of 1/8 teaspoon of uniodized sea salt per 8 ounces of warm water after huge meals, after smoking, or drinking anything other than water. Biotene mouthwash may be used. Stay away from harsh alcohol-based products like Listerine, as they can actually do more harm than nice during the healing process. Refrain from kissing, oral sex, and drinking alcohol for at least three weeks after being pierced.
