Bold Springs C M E Church

The Bold Springs C. M. E. Church was established on February 20, 1874. Three trustees of the church, Mr. Willie Moreland, Mr. Clark Bell and Mr. Sam Stillwell purchased the land at a cost of $5. 00. The property included a frame building of 1, 400 square feet and two acres of land. Mr. C. W. Sims deeded the property to the trustees for the use of either a church or school. For a number of years, the building served in both capacities. In 1901, the church was destroyed by fire and was later rebuilt.
