A pretty innocent 19 year-old server caught the eye of the chef de cuisine at a country inn on the Mississippi River. So he tossed a few peas and carrots at her. Stunned, she retaliated with ice cubes. Duly impressed by her quick response and sure aim, the chef married her. And together, they began a thriving artisanal chocolate firm in 1996. Often working 16-hour days, Brian discovered his passion was creating new dishes, and mastering the fine art of flavor harmony became a joyous obsession.

read moreAnnie B's was founded in 1978 by Tom & Carol Bouquet in Kellogg, MN. The couple enjoyed making caramels out of their kitchen and soon discovered they could make a living doing just that. They named their business after their daughter Annie. While our original caramel is still our bestselling, more than 20 additional flavors have joined the lineup over the years. Our caramels are slow-cooked in large copper kettles, so they are sure to be consistently buttery and delicious. Tom & Carol have since retired after selling the company in 2012.
