read moreMore than forty years ago Buen Dia Family School was founded by two women educators who had a dream of creating a preschool with a Spanish bilingual component, and with a nurturing, arts-focused environment where children express themselves through the language of play, where they follow their own interests, make their own choices, and have the guidance of teachers who are truly collaborating in their learning and adventures. Since 1977, our founders' vision remains our core. The underlying spirit and mission of our founders is what guides us today, as we continue to grow and evolve with the needs of the children, our families, and our community.

The school visit is 30-minutes and is a self-guided observational visit. We ask that you bring your child to your visit. You will have a chance to observe the school and your child is welcome to participate in any of the activities in the classroom. read morePreschool life at Buen Dia is based on a child-centered philosophy. We believe that children learn best when they develop relationships with the whole community as well as their environment. As children learn and grow, play becomes a way for them to focus on what they naturally need to develop next and will inherently choose what their brains and bodies need for motor, social-emotional, and imaginative development. Buen Dia's daily routine provides a framework that allows children to choose their own activities and to participate in group activities such as snack time and circle presentations.
