My knowledge in this industry started with a structural engineer in the Midwest in 1943. Five years later I arrived in California to start employment with Soule' teel Company of Los Angeles, a firm that designed and constructed aluminum curtainwall, preengineered metal buildings and reinforcing steel for the construction industry. In 1957 a high market demand for economical industrial buildings created the possibility to open a 2nd office in San Diego. I became general director of the branch and participated in its dramatic growth through the years.
