Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee is a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, a denomination established in 1936 by missions-minded Presbyterians dedicated to the inspiration of Scripture, the sovereignty of God, and the mandate to go into all the world with the gospel. Calvary OPC was began in 1974 by a handful of folk desiring a church reformed in doctrine and worship. Reformed churches trace their roots to the Protestant Reformation and its four great affirmations: Scripture alone, grace alone, faith alone, and Christ alone.

We gather as a church to bring glory to God through our lives and our worship together. While our individual worship does not happen solely on Sundays, we take special care when we are together to follow our Lord's instructions concerning the faithful preaching of His Word and the proper administration of the Lord's Supper and of baptism. We affirm the presbyterian form of church government, which means we believe the local church is best governed by a plurality of church leaders, called elders, instead of by a hierarchy of church leaders.
