read moreFounded by Steve Kirby in 1988, Central Insulation Systems, Inc. began as a privately owned insulation company with a location on Central Parkway in Cincinnati, Ohio. As the client list expanded, so did the business, taking on larger insulation projects, and slowly merging into the field of environmental services. As the years went on the company continued to grow, until it outgrew the Central Parkway location, prompting a move to our current location in St. Bernard. Central Insulation Systems, Inc. (CIS) is staffed with experienced, fully trained and certified insulation, asbestos, lead paint, and mold abatement personnel.

For hundreds of years asbestos has been used in a vast array of products and applications due to its fire and heat resistance. Those qualities made asbestos an ideal choice for production in everything from crayons to insulation. There are thousands of different products and materials used in construction alone that contain asbestos, and thousands more in other various industries. While asbestos has not been banned in the United States as it has in other countries, encapsulation and removal of asbestos and asbestos containing material (ACM) is subject to strict guidelines.
