We were the 1st-and remain the only-community college continuing education institution in California to understand the standards for independent accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We were one of the 1st in California to establish a joint high school diploma partnership with the local school district. San Diego Continuing Education was among the 1st continuing education programs in California to serve 100, 000 students per academic year.

read moreA transcript request processed at any Continuing Education (CE) campus will include all coursework taken in Continuing Education; you do not need to request transcripts from each campus you attended. Academic Information cannot be released until a signed request or a release from the student has been received. NOTE: Unofficial CE transcripts can be viewed and printed from your CE Student Dashboard. San Diego Continuing Education High School Diploma Program (HSDP) transcripts will need to be requested from the campus where you completed the HSDP requirements.

read moreDisability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) assists San Diego Continuing Education to meet the requirements of federal laws (Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act) and SDCCD policy by ensuring access to equal educational opportunities. Academic adjustments and modifications are determined for each student by an interactive process with a DSPS counselor. The DSPS mission is to offer a variety of classes and services designed to facilitate the success of students with disabilities in reaching their educational, personal, and vocational goals.
Orientation
read moreMany classes operate on an open-entry, open-exit format, which means you simply enroll in class on the first day the class meets. This format includes a first come, first served enrollment process. Some programs such as the Job Training/Certificate Programs, and general English as a Second Language classes require assessment or orientation prior to enrollment. If required, pre-enrollment or orientation will be noted with the class information. You can sign up for an orientation session by calling the Student Services office at the campus where the class meets, or visit the program section to find out about orientation.
