Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial co-operative. We're organized to cover the ever changing financial requirements of a specific group of individuals: our member-owners. Charter Oak is headquartered in Groton, Connecticut, the Submarine Capital of the World. We're very different from a bank; the people who do business with us are members, not clients. Our earnings are returned to the members in the form of lower rates and fees on loans and higher rates on share deposits.
