read moreCDE will offer trainings to educators throughout the year and on four designated professional development days as proscribed by EEC. These trainings are free to all CDE affiliated educators. EEC requires that educators participate in the professional development day trainings, and if they participate, they will be reimbursed the amount they would have received if they provided child care services. According to EEC, failure to participate means that the educator will not be reimbursed. CDE has a separate listing of possible tuition reimbursement for college classes in early education.

read moreIn order to receive reimbursement for child care services provided, educators must have registrations for all children enrolled in their child care program. Educators must maintain an individual written record for each child that must be reviewed and updated as necessary, but no less frequently than once a year. If possible, all new parents should go to the regional office and complete the electronic registration. In the event that a parent is unable to go to the regional office, the parent can complete the registration online.
