Childcare Services in Lafayette, LA The Children's Museum of Acadiana was envisioned by three women, developed for kids, supported by Acadiana residents and lovingly built by local businesses. The founders and trustees are Renee Miller, Mitzi Domino and Marvita Hudson. The dedicated trio has spent years, time and energy bringing their dream of a local Children's Museum to fruition, exceeding all of their own expectations. Miller's initial thought after visiting the Children's Museum in New Orleans in the late 80's was that Lafayette should have one of its own.

Children's Museum Of Acadiana
read moreBeginning this week, the CMA will temporarily transition to weekends only as a step towards consolidating resources to remain viable for long term sustainability. As many of CMA employees are parents themselves, safety continues to be the museum's top priority. In fact, visitors must make advance reservations, and only 80 guests are allowed per 2.5 -hour session - that's just 25% percent of the capacity. About Us
read moreThe Children's Museum of Acadiana (CMA) is a hands-on participatory museum serving children and their families, schools, and community organizations by providing interactive exhibits, special services, performances, and workshops. Inspired by Renee Miller's visit to the Children's Museum in New Orleans in the late 80's, founders and trustees Renee Miller, Mitzi Domino and Marvita Hudson envisioned a museum for children right here in Acadiana. By January, 1990, the Children's Museum of Acadiana was incorporated as a private, non-profit organization.
