City Slicker Shoes started in downtown Detroit as a display of 9 shoes inside The Broadway clothing store. The year was 1977. Shoe sales skyrocketed immediately, forcing City Slicker to move to its own location down the street where it stands today. Since that time, City Slicker Shoes has become America's Store for exotic skin shoes. Celebrities and lovers of unique shoes have flocked to downtown Detroit to see the biggest collection of exotic skins in the world.
