Consumer First Mortgage. Began business in November 1999 with two branches in Tuscaloosa and Mobile, Alabama. The founders of the firm had worked in the financial industry for over twenty years, serving consumers in various lending positions. Throughout this time, they noticed the general attitude of the financial community seemed to put the requirements and desires of the user secondary to business aims. For this reason, the founders decided to form a financial institution that would put the user 1st, above all other objectives.
