Our beliefs did not originate with us. They are as old as the Bible itself. They can especially be traced back to the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century, and to its 17th century doctrinal statement, the Westminster Confession of Faith (with its Larger and Shorter Catechisms) Our understanding of the great doctrines of the Bible are set forth in these standards. We recognize that the Bible is not a dogmatic textbook, but a history of the unfolding and establishment of God's kingdom.

About Us
read moreIt is the Lord Jesus Christ who gives His church its mission. That mission is clearly seen in Matthew 28:18-20. The church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ from all nations. It is the task of Covenant to make disciples here in the East Bay. We accomplish this mission by preaching and teaching "the evangel" or "good news" of what Jesus Christ has done for fallen sons and daughters of Adam. We proclaim Christ from all of the Scriptures. Our system of doctrine is the Reformed faith. It pulls together the most significant doctrines taught in the Bible.
