Covenant's Mission Statement: Covenant Presbyterian Church as a community of disciples of Jesus Christ is to exhibit the presence of the risen Christ in its life as a community and as individuals. When Christ says, You shall be my witness when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, God calls the entire church to ministry, as stewards of creation through the giving of ourselves. In continuing Christ's ministry, Covenant reflects the nice news of God's grace through public worship, education, fellowship, and outreach in and with the Athens community and the world.

read moreOur high school youth group will gather on the basketball court, Sunday, August 16, 3 - 5 p.m. to reconnect, remember, and celebrate friendships. In this season of the pandemic with sheltering in place, we'll share ideas about how we will move forward- virtually. Masks and social distancing are required, and you are asked to bring your own snacks and drinks. Be prepared to continue the Montreat tradition of making and sharing friendship gift bags! Video recorded sermons are now available to view via YouTube.
Worship
read moreIn the meantime, we will video record sermons each week and place them on our YouTube channel. Services are conducted in the indoor worship center and employ the same scriptural lessons, litanies, prayers, proclamations and service music. In the Fall and Spring, Sunday school occurs at 9:30 am between the two services so that worshipers at either service may attend. Childcare is available for children aged 5 and under.
