His numerous awards include the Silver Medal of Honor, the John Cavanaugh Memorial Award, the Margaret Hexter Prize and Leonard J. Meiselman Memorial Award from the National Sculpture Society in New York, NY. In 2007, he was given one of the University of Oklahoma's top honors, the Otis Sullivant Award for his outstanding contribution to the arts in Oklahoma and at OU. In addition to this prestigious award, he has received two Regents Awards for Outstanding Professional and University Service.
