Sam Block has been in the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) business since 1968, starting in New York as a pipe fitter and moving to Fort Lauderdale in 1973. He gained his mechanical contractor's license in 1984 and from 1985 to 1990 he owned Eveready Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. In 1990, his career continued with Penn Refrigeration and Air Conditioning as general director and vice president. Sam directed the service department in addition to estimating and selling commercial and domestic projects.
