If you experience a water leak, it is vital that you turn off the water first. The water cut off is located about six inches from the water main, though it can be above ground, next to your home. If you are in Houston city limits, call (713) 837-0600 to temporarily cut off your water. After that, call us to remedy the cause of the leak.
Gas Leaks
In the event that you suspect you may have a gas leak, call CenterPoint Energy at (713) 659-2111 for an emergency cut off. They will turn off your gas, and remove your meter until you have a city inspection. All maintenance disconnects requires a city inspection before services can be resumed. Please note that CenterPoint will not repair any gas leaks. Call CenterPoint Energy only if necessary, then contact us to perform the repair and inspection.

Friendly and immediate same day service from the initial phone call to the professional technician that arrived & the service that was provided. "Oscar" immediately identified the cause of our clogged bathroom sink that was continuously refilling with water and addressed it in no time flat! Reasonable rates too. Highly recommend!

David Hicks Plumbing was engaged to do a whole house water repiping job using PEX, for a single story ranch-style house with piping run in the attic. The new piping was required by the City of Houston to be insulated for freeze protection. Three faucet repairs followed and were necessitated due to deposited rust particles from the old galvanized iron piping. Ian, and his helper Jacob, did a great job.
They were magicians in snaking the PEX down the inside of interior and exterior walls with a minimum of sheet rock work and no removal of wall or floor cabinets! Ian's follow-ups were much appreciated.

Ian and Jacob were fantastic. Prompt, professional and did an amazing job replumbing a bathtub and 2 showers. We had an issue with the tub rocking a little after install, so I texted Ian. They came back out the next day and refit the tub, had us check it before they caulked it in. Very professional, great guys. We are very happy with the job they did.

We were having an issue with the 40 year old valve on the water main into the house. I called my usual guy, and he didn't return two phone calls or respond to a text. A friend of mine then recommended David Hicks. They answered the phone, and promptly sent a guy out to diagnose the problem. Ian was knowledgeable and super friendly. He took his time, carefully and fully explained all the options, and came back the next day to install a new valve. He did excellent work, insulated the pipe, and cleaned up the work site. The guy that used to do my work will not get the next call. David Hicks Plumbing will get the work.

They performed a complex multi-prong job in my property, soon after I bought it. The job involved installation of four new toilets, performing complex maintenance on a full-body shower, installing a water filter in the kitchen, and replacing two faucets in the kitchen. They also fixed a small issue with one of the tankless water heaters, which they stumbled upon accidentally. This was gratis. The job was performed timely, in the two days as they promised. Highly professional crew. The final charge was as estimated up-front. Nice guys as well!

Ian did a great job at our house. We had received a diagnosis from a different company that ended up being way too invasive and expensive. Ian showed us the problem ws actually quite minor and fixed it while he was there. I would definitely recommend these guys.

Here to sing the praises of Joe & Eric at David Hicks Plumbing today! There were several tiny plumbing issues that I thought would take them a couple hours to repair but they got it all fixed much faster! Sure saved me missing extra work over my lunch hour and is much appreciated. They were both very knowledgeable and professional technicians. Super nice guys too. As far as I'm concerned they are the A-Team to go to! I highly recommend them!

This company was recommended by a neighbor and I was so pleased. After a constantly running toilet and a small leak in the sprinkler system earned me a $275 water bill I called for help! Ian came to the rescue. He was on time, worked efficiently, explained anything I asked about. He repaired, then replaced, the toilet. To be fair, the repair worked, but the 50 year old toilet was still slow and weird, so I opted to replace after he repaired it! I had already bought the necessary replacement sprinkler head so he just screwed the new one in without charge.

I have been a real estate broker for 38 years and have worked with many different plumbing companies that my clients have hired for repair work on their homes, however i recently used David Hicks plumbing for a gas leak that had been detected at my own house and consider them to be one of the best plumbing companies i have encountered. they called before coming, they were on time, they were courteous and very efficient, they explained the situation and what needed to be done very clearly and repaired the problem quickly, i highly recommend them for any pluming needs.

I have now used David Hicks at least 5 times. Three disposals installed at three different properties, Leaking Wax seal reinstalled in the toilet, several clogged up drains fixed. the pumbers are knowledgeable, professional and do not overcharge! High recommended!

I asked Mr. Hicks to install a new toilet I had purchased, because the contractors from a remodel failed to set the old one on the wax seal properly (3 years ago. gross!). The plumber arrived the next day and installed it, new seat and all. It's a beautiful toilet (I know, I know, how can a toilet possibly be beautiful?). And the installer did a beautiful job. The caulking around the bottom is immaculate, and the toilet works perfectly. Thank you, David Hicks Plumbing!

My place is ooooold. It's a very old building. And things tend to break. A lot. So when my water heater went out, along with some pressure issues in the shower, the landlord called in these guys. Normally, they use some other (creepy) guy, but I'm so very thankful these guys were able to help me out. They took a look at my water heater late in the day, so by the time they got permission to buy a new one, I had to wait til the next day.
Not too big of a deal since I'd been showering at my sisters. So the next morning, around 10am, there they were. They replaced the water heater and made little noise doing so. I easily continued working on my own as they handled their business. And when I showed them the water pressure I was having with the shower head, they took a look at it for me AND FIXED IT.
The previous plumber that inspected it around February had a different solution: replace the piping. But the fellas at David Hicks simply cleaned it out and it's now working better than even before I moved in. I'm sure the landlord needs to replace the pipes since this is such an old place, but this was a fast and easy solution for now. AND he cleaned out my shower head too after I insisted I'd take care of it. Use these guys.
