On January 1, 1972 the operation was expanded to include retails sales, dive travel and equipment services. We adopted NAUI's motto of "Dive Safety through Education" as the corner stone of our high teaching standards and style of scuba diving. Our staff continues to upgrade their teaching skills to bring you the best scuba instruction. Today DSS offers courses in Snorkeling, Basic, Advanced and Master Scuba Diver Course: Specialty Courses, Technical Diving Courses and Leadership Courses where you can become a NAUI Scuba Instructor.

read moreTHE NITROX COURSE is for all scuba divers. The benefits of diving with Nitrox Gas are to increase your non-decompression dive times and shorten your surface interval time. This DSS Nitrox Course consists of academics (3.5 hours) and covers Nitrox dive planning, depth and time limits for the Nitrox % you are using, analyzing your own gas mixture with our Oxygen Analyzer, and equipment selection based upon the percent of oxygen in your mixture). Plus one day of two Open Water repetitive dives using Nitrox gas.
