A Green Office
read moreWe would like you to know how we are very different from many dentaloffices today. In all that we do, we all really need to take the health of our environment into serious consideration. Not only do we care for the health of our patients, but we are also very much concerned for our environment. During the past ten years, our dental practice has made many advances to reduce the negative impact of the manner in which most dentists used to provide dental care. It is not possible to have a healthy human population on a seriously polluted planet.
Tooth Extraction Irvine
read moreWhile preserving your natural teeth is the ideal situation, there are times that a tooth extraction may be necessary. Teeth that are severely decayed or broken, advanced periodontal disease, and impacted teeth may require extraction. In some cases, a tooth is removed to prepare for orthodontic treatment, correcting severe crowding. The extraction process is simple, and there are few complications. The jaw will be numbed. This will prevent you from feeling any pain during the procedure, but you will feel pressure.
CEREC Crowns Irvine
read moreCEREC is a computer-aided dental design and manufacturing technology for custom fabricating tooth-colored restorations — crowns, onlays, and veneers — on-site in the dental office. The damaged tooth is prepared. A reflective powder is applied to the tooth. A digital image is made with an infrared camera that records the tooth's exact dimensions and sends it to the *CAD/CAM computer. The restoration is designed on the computer. CEREC provides extremely accurate restorations that require minimal tooth preparation, which means Dr. Pham can leave more of the healthy tooth structure intact.
Root Canal Irvine
read moreRoot canal therapy is a procedure used to save a tooth when the inner layer, known as pulp, has become damaged and infected. Millions of teeth are saved each year with this endodontic procedure. While the infection of the pulp and nerve can cause a lot of pain, root canal therapy is designed to stop that pain. The tooth and the area around it will be numbed, so you will not feel anything during treatment. Drs. Harder, Pham, andChungwill remove the damaged pulp and clean and disinfect the inside of the tooth.
Faq
read moreIf you are having a routine check-up, we will determine if you have had recent x-rays, an examination or if you had a teeth cleaning within the last year. Complete x-rays of the teeth and jaw are normally done every three to five years. Routine check-up x-rays are done annually. Teeth cleaning is normally recommended about every six months, but some people require this every three to four months to keep their gum tissues healthy. The most important service during an initial visit is a complete examination which include the teeth, the gum tissues and the other soft tissues of the entire mouth (cancer screening exam).
