Churches in Durham, NC
Churches in Durham, NC Our Brothers and Sisters in Haiti suffered a terrible tragedy on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. The colossal loss of life and the cost of damages caused by the earthquake will not be estimated for some time. So many homes, government buildings, schools, churches, and shops were destroyed. Haiti is one of the poorest countries on the earth and this tragedy increased the suffering of God's people in Haiti immeasurably.

Our Welcome
read moreWe proclaim simply and surely, "Black Lives Matter." Duke Memorial is committed to the work of anti-racism and will continue to "love, listen, learn, and leverage" as a congregation so that we may live fully into God's call of justice and peace.
Children's Formation
read moreAt Duke Memorial children are central to the life of the congregation. Our hope is that your children will not only be welcome but will become ministers in our church, worshiping and serving as full members of Christ's body. You can do them on Sunday mornings, in between Zoom school classes, at the family dinner table, or whenever is best for your schedule. We will spend some time in Children's Chapel each week talking about the lesson for the week to help the themes stick. At Duke Memorial, we believe that children are a gift from God.
Youth
read moreOur goal is to provide a safe and welcoming place for youth in grades 6-12 to explore and practice Christian living. Email Youth@dukememorial.org to receive weekly youth updates. High School Sunday School class that explores issues of identity, sexuality, and relationships in the context of the Christian faith. Orientation on Oct. 6th. Serving our neighbors and community is an integral part of what Jesus calls us to do as young disciples. Service is an important path by which we grow in relationship with our brothers and sisters and with God.
