Eastern was set up in 1957 by Frank G. Lasecke, Sr. And his wife Sandie. Frank was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He served as Mayor of Stevens Point from 1941 to 1943. During World War II, he enlisted in the Navy. In 1947, he was honorably discharged with the rank of a Commander. He then moved to California and worked as a furniture manufacturer's representative for ten years. In 1957, he opened Eastern Wholesale Furniture Company. It was the only wholesale furniture showroom in the Santa Clara Valley at that time.
