Anxiety
read moreAnxiety is often both a physical and emotional response to fear and the suppression of fear. Anxiety can manifest acutely in feelings of stress, nervousness, or worry in response to specific situations. Sometimes people feel overwhelmed by tasks that are required of them either at work, in relationship, or as parent, and it can feel difficult to engage socially or accomplish the things a person wants that brings them joy.
Chronic Illness & Chronic Pain Therapy
read moreWe believe that our bodies store the stories of our lives. Therefore, mental and physical wellness go hand in hand. Our practice is informed by evidence-based scientific research from neuroscience, betrayal trauma, complex trauma, mindfulness and meditation practices, somatic psychotherapy, nature-based therapy, grief therapy, and other general therapeutic approaches to treat chronic pain.
Depression
read moreAs your psychotherapists, well work alongside you to achieve relief in the present moment and reduce suffering over time. This therapeutic approach is a collaborative, caring process of body-centered psychotherapy in which the client participates in feeling the sensations of their body, identifies emotions, names any attachments or associations with those emotions, and allows stored emotions to move through the body, thereby offering relief.
Couples Therapy
read moreRelationship counseling creates an opportunity for understanding one anothers deeper, unconscious blockages, fundamental needs, and patterns in the relationship. This commonly connects to our earliest and most powerful emotional experiences. Discovering these older wounds, how those are being triggered in relationship present day, and through mutual understanding, a couple often finds new strategies for enjoying their relationship and rebuilding intimacy and connection.
Group Therapy for Adult Children of Alcoholics
read moreApproximately twice a year Evolve In Nature offers group therapy for adults who grew up in households with alcoholism or other substance abuse/addiction. This group is open to all adults who are interested in healing from the patterns of behavior perpetuated in an alcoholic family system.
Trauma Therapy
read moreAt Evolve In Nature, our approach involves offering empathetic trauma-informed therapy, drawing from neuroscience, somatic-based, and attachment-based practices. Within the therapeutic relationship, we collaborate with the body to establish a stable nervous system, cultivating awareness of bodily sensations. This aids in guiding the nervous system to process trauma, liberating it from the flight, fight, or freeze response the source of fear, anxiety, dissociation, and depression for many.

Heather Caldwell is kind, supportive and deeply intuitive. I love the way she has helped me connect mindfulness with my physical body, which has resulted in personal achievements beyond my expectations. Heather has a non-judgmental awareness which encourages open and honest conversation. I rely on her wisdom and understanding, and most of all trust that she will continue to guide me on a path that leads to my personal growth.

I have known Heather for many many years and she has always been someone to reach out and support/empower someone through their toughest times. She has the biggest heart and can empathize when you are going through challenges. No shame, no judgement just listening and helping you walk through whatever the universe has thrown at you. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing some support or just a really great person to talk to.

When I got in touch with Shelly at Evolve in Nature, I was in my early 50s, depressed and confused. I had never before seen a therapist, and was skeptical. But I gave it a shot. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Shelly taught me how to see more clearly, how to place my person and my life into valuable contexts, how to move forward with more wisdom, patience and honesty. I highly recommend Shelly and Evolve in Nature Psychotherapy.

Heather Caldwell
MA, LPC — PSYCHOTHERAPIST
read moreCompassion, exploration, authentic connection, and humor are values that guide my personal and professional life. Much like an aspen forest, these pillars are connected and create a strong-rooted belief system that informs my worldview. These roots are connected but they are not static - much as we are not static creatures. I am inspired by our desire and willingness to explore, expand, and evolve our emotional, spiritual, sensual, and creative selves to live fuller and richer lives.
Shelly Froehlich
MA, LPC, CMHC, ACS — FOUNDER, CLINICAL DIRECTOR, SUPERVISOR, & PSYCHOTHERAPIST
read moreIt is an honor to hold a career as a psychotherapist, generating more healing and creating more love. I enjoy teaching people how to better understand themselves, move toward healthy behaviors, create loving relationships, and reclaim wholeness, connection, and a meaningful life. I work from a holistic perspective, blending body-centered psychotherapy, mindfulness, and nature based elements to help individuals and couple's thrive. Sessions involve collaborating on an integrative treatment approach, combining insight, skills-based techniques, and creating objectives to meet goals and help clients understand how their past experiences and relationships shape who they are now. My work is to help people remove the obstacles that stand in the way of healing and one's capacity to be the best and truest version of one's self. Whether an individual comes to therapy with a vague sense that something is not right or an overwhelming sense of pain (or somewhere in between), together we will create a safe space, to put words around your experience, and create possibilities for change.
