In November of 2002, with generous funding offered by the Great Bay Foundation, Families in Transition officially expanded into the field of social entrepreneurship with the opening of Family Outfitters Thrift Store. In addition, Family Outfitters Thrift Store serves as an employment & training program for Families in Transition participants and alumni who have the possibility to earn retail expertise at all levels. In addition to retail experience, numerous classes are provided through the Employment & Training Program, including a complete computer training program.
