Many pro-choice clinics and organizations in Iowa realized there were tremendous barriers for women to access EC. That is why Project Pharmacy is beginning the goal to strengthen access to reproductive health care resources statewide, ensure access and availability of emergency contraception (EC) over-the-counter and by prescription in Iowa pharmacies and implement education initiatives to better inform the public, pharmacists and physicians about EC.
