The design process may take the form of creating a detailed landscape plan with supporting construction details, specifications, and plant lists that goes out for bid. It may involve my assistance with plant layout working with a carefully selected landscape contractor. Or it might be on-site consultation with an enthusiastic gardener whod like to do the work themselves. I often meet with customers for only a few hours to work on small areas of their garden.

read morePlants need 1″ of water each week. If rainfall is insufficient, you'll need to water, especially newly planted materials. Give plants a thorough soaking once a week, rather than frequent, light watering. Avoid watering late in the day. Plantings beneath mature trees, especially maples, will be in dry zones and may require extra watering. Keep grass long (3″) to discourage weeds, encourage a strong root system and reduce noise & air pollution. Remove only 1/3 of a growing grass blade at each mowing.
