Recording Studio in New Haven, CT
The recording rooms at Firehouse 12 are designed by John Storyk and local architects Gray Organschi Architecture. The Live Room is 1, 200 square feet with a 15 ft. Wood ceiling and bamboo floors. There are three isolation booths radiating off of the major space, with clear, open sightlines between all the recording spaces. Firehouse 12 features a 9' Steinway Model 'D' concert grand piano built in 1964 (with a new action) a mint Hammond A-100 & Leslie 145, a Wurlitzer 200A, a Fender Rhodes Suitcase 73, a Moog Voyager, a Gretsch USA Maple drumkit and more.

read moreAt the heart of Firehouse 12 is our recording studio, which doubles as an intimate 75-seat auditorium. The venue is home to our Jazz Series, which runs for 12 weeks during the Spring and Fall. To view the current lineup and to purchase tickets, please visit our performance calendar. We program two series of experimental and contemporary jazz concerts on Friday nights in the Fall and in the Spring.
