Fluorescent Tube Service and Exchange Company was founded in the late 1940s by family patriarchs Dorothy and Bernard Patton. Bernard invented a rejuvenation machine that brought old fluorescent light bulbs back to life, accomplishing what many considered then to be "impossible." After patenting the product, the burgeoning company took wings by selling to businesses in Los Angeles.
