General Truck Body was established in the early 1900's as a blacksmith shop where Boris Levitch put shoes on horses; then started building horse-drawn carriages. When motorized vehicles came into being, General Truck Body evolved with the times and started constructing bodies for this new mode of transportation. Early clients were Montgomery Wards, Safeway Stores and Campbell Dairies. Today, General Truck Body has expanded its offerings through two divisions situated in Houston, Texas.
