While we are proud of the growth of Generations, the most important part of our mission is offering high quality care to children across the county, no matter their location. read moreOur Irondequoit child care center has much to offer. Located within the Irondequoit school district, families of school age children can have school buses pick up and drop off from our center for before and after school care. This family friendly center provides a small center feel. For children within the Rochester City School District, Generations offers a free Universal Pre-K Program. Being an early childhood educator has always been my passion. I graduated from Kean University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and later received my master's degree in Literacy from Nazareth College in Rochester.

read moreOur SW Rochester center is located on the St. John's nursing home campus. Child care and elder care are brought together each week so classrooms get to experience intergenerational programming with residents of the nursing home. Located next to The Highland Botanical Park, children have the opportunity of exploring nature at it's best. The Lamberton Conservatory is within easy walking distance of our center- a perk we often take advantage of. I am inspired everyday by the children and families in our center.

We create an environment that is as similar to your home situation as possible, making this a seamless transition for you and the newest member of your family. We partner with our parents to incorporate the infant's current routines and schedules into their care while at Generations.

read moreOur NE Rochester center located on the campus of St. Michael's is a bi-lingual facility where Spanish speaking families will experience greater means of communication with teachers at this center. This center was made possible through an NYS grant, support of Senator Joseph Robach and several community foundations. The playgrounds were constructed during a United Way Day of Caring. Working for Generations Child Care has been a wonderful journey for me both personally and professionally. I love the variety that unfolds with each new day.

read moreOur Gates Child Care Center first opened its doors in 1993 and moved to its current location in 2008. The center is not only spacious and open, but enjoys multiple outdoor spaces and playgrounds as well. The large outdoor space makes spending summers at this location exciting. Our Gates center is particularly unique because in addition to child care, we have our elder care at this facility as well! Children can walk down the hall to visit with the grandmas and grandpas and we often incorporate intergenerational activities into our schedule.

read moreWhether full day or part day based on your family's needs, the activities and experiences planned during the preschool years will help children learn how to solve problems, make choices, and respect themselves as well as their friends. To nurture curiosity and the love of learning we use art, music, large motor games, group activities, dramatic play, and language activities as part of the daily schedule. Language, math and science activities help build a foundation for future success. Children begin to learn about their community and appreciate the uniqueness they each hold.
