After more than two decades, Fred Giampietro has emerged as a leading expert in the area of American Folk Art. He has been instrumental in the formation of many major private collections. 100's of exceptional items he has discovered or handled are published in many of the seminal books on American Folk Art. A native of Connecticut, Fred Giampietro is a trained classical musician. He holds a masters degree in music performance from Yale University. A double bassist, he has performed with the Miami Philharmonic, Palm Beach Symphony and New Haven Symphony.
