Gift Of Life Foundation

In 1988, in the face of an alarming infant mortality rate, Central Alabama's community leaders, healthcare specialists, and concerned citizens established a private and public sector partnership called Gift of Life. For twenty years, the Gift of Life Foundation has lived up to its name by delivering an efficient and caring system of perinatal services, education, tracking, and care coordination for pregnant women and their babies-regardless of their capability to pay. Services include: prenatal care, delivery, postpartum care, nutrition counseling, child health services, maternal health education, and school abstinence education.
