Global Media Services was established in 2003 by digital media veterans, Jennifer Sultan and Adam Cohen, both of whom are recognized as pioneers in the streaming media space via the start of Live On Line in 1994, its subsequent sale to Digital Island in 2000 and ultimate acquisition by Cable & Wireless PLC in 2002. Live On Line was an early pioneer in the the production, acquisition and delivery of streaming and rich media on the internet for high profile Media and Entertainment and Enterprise customers. LOL produced several of the web's highest attendance numbers for clients such as Apple Computer, Microsoft, Sony Music, Arista Records, American Express, Comedy Central, FOX and MTV.
