Established in 2005, Government Initiatives Group is an emerging federal and state government relations company with offices in Columbus, Ohio. Its two principals, Ted Brown and R. Michael Taylor, led the company. Ted Brown now retired, still serves in a consulting capacity. The company maintains a diverse practice, it has extensive knowledge in the areas of labor, law enforcement, workers compensation, health and pensions. Government Initiatives Group was set up on the philosophy of delivering hands-on, straightforward and proactive government relations representation that is comprehensive in its approach.

He previously worked as director of legislative affairs and interim assistant director of the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services. His experience with insurance, regulatory affairs and criminal justice issues will serve our clients well.
