We're a tiny group committed to cover the Lord and witness to His saving grace. Fellowship is our middle name. You'll find a warm welcome and a helping hand in your journey through life from the members of GFBC Join us in the traditional singing of the great hymns of the faith. Be challenged by the Holy Scriptures as they are expounded and preached with conviction and compassion. We meet in Room 251 of the new Port Saint Lucie Civic Center at the intersection of U. S. 1 and Walton Road pending construction of our building at 2000 Leafy Road.

About Us
read moreWe are a small church in Port Saint Lucie (PSL), with a heart for the community and a desire to see God's name glorified in all that we do. We hold to traditional, Biblical tenets of the Christian faith, and seek to preach God's Word faithfully. We desire to grow and advance the Kingdom in the South Florida region. We are conveniently located right off of US Highway 1. We seek to encourage one another through prayer and fellowship. We welcome all to join us in magnifying our Savior and learning more about who God is and what He has done for us.
What to Expect
read moreWhat is the main focus of your church? We seek to glorify God in everything that we do and to advance the Great Commission in the town of Port Saint Lucie and surrounding areas. What are the services like? Our services consist of singing mostly traditional hymns, reading scripture, occasional special music, and examining the Word via regular expositional, exegetical preaching. Do you provide childcare? Yes, we do! We provide a Sunday School before the service, and we provide a lesson time to children four and under in our nursery during the morning service.

Our Pastor
read morePastor Matthew Pilch accepted the call to the pastorate of GFBC in May of 2015. He and his family moved to Port Saint Lucie in July 2015 from Minneapolis, MN. He graduated with a Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Minneapolis in 2014. Pastor Pilch believes that the Church exists to bring glory to God and that one of the best ways to accomplish this is through the faithful exposition of the Bible, for it is the Word of God. We are pleased to have Him as our pastor and know he would love to hear from you.
Deacons
read moreFidias Echevarria serves GFBC as our head deacon. He has a humble heart and a great desire to serve the Lord however he can. The Lord has already used him mightily for his service as a pastor from 1965 until 2012 in Philadelphia (47 years) before moving to Port Saint Lucie. He and his wife of over 52 years, Georgina, love the people of God and enjoy seeing their five beautiful children - all of whom love the Lord - and grandchildren. He brings much wisdom and biblical insight to the ministries here at GFBC and we are thankful for him!
Our Beliefs

We do not believe the purpose of the local church is to entertain or to imitate the world, but is a place to worship our Lord and to provide instruction, fellowship, and encouragement for the members for their ministry in their families and community Eph. 4:11-15; Acts 2:40-42.
