The history of Tiffanys goes back to 1969 when Ruby Barnes opened the 1st Tiffanys Bridal in Richmond, Virginia. The very next year, in 1970, Marinel Wright opened a store in Norfolk, Virginia and was one of the very 1st tenants in Military Circle Mall. In the mid-nineties Gary Wright, president of National Bridal Service, took over the family business. Gary is the son of Marinel Wright and the son-in-law of the late Ruby Barnes. Gary and his wife, Peggy, operated Tiffanys Bridal until 2005. In May of 2005 Gary sold the family business to Marty and Melissa Wade.
