Hardies Jewelry

Hardie's Jewelry opened its doors for business in 1956 by its owner, Jess O. Hardie. Jess's interesting professional career started in 1940 as an apprentice jeweler and hand engraver at Haltom's Jewelry Store in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Though his interest in the jewelry industry held his fascination, at age nineteen following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Jess could not resist the urge to join the military in support of his country. After a four year stint in the Army Air Corp he was drawn back into the industry and worked for other jewelers honing his skills until he began his own business in the founded TCU area of Fort Worth.
